The ASEAN-Korea Centre held the ASEAN Youth Career Mentorship Program on 25 March 2017 at the ASEAN Hall of the ASEAN-Korea Centre. Consisted of two sessions and a networking reception, the Program gathered 90 ASEAN students who are currently residing in Korea and assisted them in starting or continuing a career in Korea through mentorship.

The Program commenced with opening remarks by Ms. Jessy Yeunju Jang, the Head of the Information and Data Unit of the ASEAN-Korea Centre, and welcoming remarks by Mr. Julius Flores, the President of the ASEAN Youth Network in Korea (AYNK).

Shortly following the remarks was the first session conducted by Ms. Marilyn Manalaysay, a Filipino who currently works as a Global HR Assistant Manager at GS Engineering and Construction. In her presentation, she highlighted important points on how to prepare application documents as well as ace job interviews in Korean companies. At the second session, Ms. Eu Siying from Singapore and Ms. Quynh Nguyen from Vietnam shared their experiences on how they started their career in Korea. Ms. Eu is affiliated with SevenKicks Korea while Ms. Quynh works at Samsung Life Insurance. A networking reception was held right after the sessions to enable the participants as well as the mentors to establish networks with one another.
